Alexander T. Polgar Ph.D., R.S.W. Alex Polgar is a professional registered social worker who has counseled primarily men for over thirty-five years. His clinical approach is grounded in a psychosocial perspective whereby understanding is derived from analyses of life experiences and the impact these have had in shaping how mean reason, behave, and have at their conscious level of awareness. As a researcher and a pragmatist he also understands that awareness is only part of the equation to personal growth. The equally important other part of the equation is putting into practice behaviours which are more adaptive and thereby functional. He believes that ultimately what matters is how men act and that how men act should make a positive contribution to where and who they live with |
